Parc des Acacias, Genève 2006

The city of Geneva requested us for the implantation and execution of a public restroom to be allocated in the ‘parc des Acacias.’

A prefabricated cabin of industrial production was provided and to be placed on a concrete pedestal with all fixtures intact.

The demand consisted of a proposal for the implantation of the object and the «dressing» of the latter. From there, we created three axes of work; the relation of the structure with its environment, the materiality and the proportions of its exterior, and the lighting.

Implantation, dynamic form, comptemporary materials facilitating the usage and maintenance, as well as the lighting system are architectural responses applied to this small structure; too frequently considered second rate due to its size, nature and function.
